Protein bars

I have started to test the Polynesia vassal module over email with a few people. If anyone wants to be involved with the testing who wasn't invited, feel free to contact me. I invented a recipe last night - protein bars. they ended up pretty good. It was approximately: 1 part pinto bean flour 1 part rice flour 2 parts oat flour 1 part dry milk cut in 2 parts peanut butter 1/2 part honey 1 part whole milk mix in oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruit, chocolate chips as desired (probably 1-2 parts total) spread with a greased spatula into a greased pan. batter will be about the consistency of  peanut butter. If batter is too thick, add more milk. cook at 250 until they are done (half hour?). They ended up about like brownies (dense and hearty). Sheila and Scott came over and tested them out with us, and both said that they liked em. Scott and I played epic duels. The first game was Mace Windu vs Boba Fett, and went in the expected manner. Ashes, Ashes

We had another session of 42 Earths this weekend. They got on the bad side of Osiron (a interplanetary criminal syndicate similar to the mafia). They also decided to go to the seat of power of the LoW and talk to the senate about the alien menace. Perhaps the two events were connected somehow :). Xander is planning on building a space ship with a dimension hopping device it seems. I have a 10 player vassal module for Polynesia posted  here . The rules are posted here . If anyone wants to download it and test it out, I would appreciate it. I hope that the rules are written well enough that anyone can just read them and play the game. Andrea has started to like playing ring around the rosie. The only words she sings are "ashes, ashes" and "ashes, ashes" is her name for the game. She loves the falling down part the best. I have a character in UnNethack that is doing pretty well. She is a female vampire wizard who has raided fort ludios and is currently trying to ...

Duck Blur?

Baby Andrea is getting better at jumping. She sometimes gets her feet off the ground now (which is an improvement). A new version of the Vassal module for Polynesia is available online  here . It is far from complete (If I worked hard I could include score tracking, good tracking, attacks, etc), and only for 4 players (I have not added all of the other cards yet - I intend to do that soon). Vassal is a free program that allows you to play board, card, and table top strategy games online. If anyone wants to test Polynesia for me - be my guest. The rules can be downloaded here , and viewed online here  (though the online viewing does not have my font with my special symbols, so it is a little inferior to the downloaded version.) If you have any questions, requests for clarification, or comments, send them to me. I read 'A Matter of Profit' yesterday. It was fun. It has been a long time since I read a book in one day (and though it was a young adult book I...
