Timmy's Birthday Bash, and when Mike Got Last Place

This week Mike did more and more homework in hopes of finishing the semester with good grades. He is finishing up one of this finals, which is a paper documenting a project that he has been building all semester. His other project is 80% done, and since it is all due midway through this upcoming week he just has to get it done. On Tuesday we all went to the Classic Fun Center to celebrate Timmy's Birthday. It was really his birthday a long time ago, but this was the first time that we could go, so we did it then. Timmy had a fun time. We went in the jungle part, the ball shooting part, the bounce houses, and lazer tag, and we also played carnival style games in order to win prizes. It was super hot in there because it was over 100 outside, but overall it was pretty fun. On Wednesday the kids were invited to a sleepover at the Plastows house. They all had a fun time, but Boo decided at about 9:00 to come back home and sleep with us. It is too bad, because she was sad that all her si...

Mostly about board games

This last week was a busy one. We decided that we would have a garage sale on Saturday, so we culled all of our books. We ended up with hundreds of books (they wouldn't all fit on a table), some board games,  some of Andrea's clothes (we had been given so many clothes that we hadn't even had a chance to put her in since she grew so fast), some NES games, and some toys. On Thursday I posted some ads online for the sale, and in a few hours someone had called and offered to buy all of the NES games. He came over that night and bought them for $50. Friday someone in Texas somewhere told me online that they would buy  Twilight Imperium  off of me for $50 + shipping, but I told him I didn't want to ship it, so if it didn't sell during the sale then I would mail it to him. The sale started Saturday morning and we had someone show up right away and ask for the NES games (which were all already sold). Some lady bought about 100 books, and got the 'bulk discount'...

New Tent

We found a $4 tent at the DI. Opening it up revealed it to be in pretty good condition, and not missing any parts. It is pretty small (Alison and I could both fit in it, but a few bonus children would not fit). We decided to buy it after a little consideration. The 5 lb cheese is starting to smell pretty good - perhaps the yeast thing is over (hopefully). We have gotten some peas, and a few more strawberries from the garden, but I suspect that some birds have gotten most of the strawberries. We do have a good head of broccoli coming (and we will be eating it soon I would assume) There has been a new Twilight Imperium expansion made. I would really like it, but can't really justify getting it (as I never get to play the game anyway). It is a fun game, but my friends don't like long games any more. We have another session of our RPG coming up tomorrow. Mason is not going to be there. His wife is sick, so it makes sense, but I have seen players lose interest in a game after miss...
