We are not dead yet

Timmy attempted to voice to text this blog post, since we have not posted in so long. Here is what he produced:

"This week was saltcon week I don't remember where was also I can play I Believe. And so when we got to so can we painted minis and people finding and I got to Nuke toothless and then we had to go back home and that's how we can there you go."

So now, we haven't posted since mid February and it's now March so we are deeply behind on our blog posting. I don't think it would be reasonable to attempt to remember everything that happened in that time period, so I'm just going to give a few highlights.

It has been unusually warm, so we have been going canoeing in the Jordan River. We also got a big pile of wood chips for our front yard, and we have spread those around a lot. Hopefully this will prevent our yard from growing lots of weeds.

Mike has been sick with covid or something for about a month, and everyone else is also sort of feeling sick too.

The kids have been invited over to various parties and sleepovers. We also went to the zoo, which was pretty fun.

This week we had saltcon, which was really fun. The best game that we found was called Keep the Heroes Out. It was a cooperative asymmetric game with deck building aspects. Each person plays as a certain class of monsters in a dungeon and you all attempt to defend the dungeon from adventures who keep coming in and trying to kill everyone and steal everything. It was really fun, and we rented it repeatedly and played it many times.

We also did the Star Trek bridge simulator while we were there and as Timmy said we ended up nuking an interstellar space dragon named toothless. We were doing fairly well overall, but it seems like we're about to lose the fight with some rogue members of the federation and because of that the game master gave us some nukes for no known reason. It was pretty fun.

All of the girls bought hear ornaments at this one crown shop. If Mike did his job correctly you should see a picture of them all wearing them somewhere in this blog post.

Gideon also bought a young red dragon figurine and when we did minifig painting we painted his Red dragon. It turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. We also all painted various minifigs. That always is fun. Perhaps sometime we will have to get more and paint them for fun.
