Nothing but Boys Camp

We skipped a week, so this is for 2 weeks. I thought that I was getting good at doing this again, however, (in my defense), I was sick last weekend, so I guess that that is enough to break a frail habit.

Between doctors appointments, dentist appointments, and the aforementioned being sick, we had a really busy two weeks despite not doing anything that was really terribly interesting.

Mike has been finishing up a second version of Grandpa Mike's website. As of last night it is entirely working, so he is ready to show it to Grandpa and see what feedback he gets this time. Some time soon it will be feature complete.

Tim went to the stake's boys camp the last few days of last week. He had a marginally fun time. He said that there were a lot of annoying things, however, there were also some fun things. For the first time in his life he said that there was too much meat and that he wanted a salad.

Rea, Sara, and Timmy will be going to trek on Monday, which should hopefully be fun for them. They have ween putting a lot of effort into getting ready.

Next week we also have two birthdays: Elsa's and Tim's. We will be having a party for Elsa tonight, since her birthday will be on a day that three of her siblings are gone. She wants fruit pizza and homemade strawberry ice cream, so we are going to have that for her.

To wrestle with a goat

Andrea has been enjoying the spring immensely. She loves to spend most of her time outside (she would probably spend almost all of it out there if her mother would let her). She loves to break into the goat food and feed the goats and chickens. She was digging holes under the fence (not to get through (she knows how to open the door) but to use the dirt as play goat food when we don't let her get any more real goat food) this leaves the chickens enough space to squeeze under the fence and enter into our garden area. The chickens have been laying a ton of eggs. The black and white one lays one every day and the other two lay eggs on alternating days it seems. Lala has been still producing milk in decent quantities (it is too bad that we have to dry her off when we go to Japan, but I doubt that we will be able to find someone who is willing to milk her that entire time). The kids just discovered stop motion animation and are making videos of their modeling clay dinosaurs. They're having fun. We have a wasp nest in our big tree in the front yard that Mike is really, really trying to figure out how to deal with before the weather warms up. It's much too high for any of the normal methods. He's thinking of shooting balls of clay at it with a slingshot to try to knock it down. This week we had CC and the kids are making friends with a new family, Will and Grace. They're nine year old twins and Timmy and Sara are having fun talking about Wings of Fire and Spirit Animals and other books with them. Tuesday the Rogers were off school, so we went with them and Grandma Julie to Thanksgiving Point all day. We did the dinosaur museum in the morning and butterflies in the afternoon.
