Scarlet Pimpernel Take 2

We have spent our first full week in the Brown's house. So far things are working out. We ended up making meals the nights of the week and having the Browns cook for us the other nights

This week was also the first week of school for Sara and the kids. Sara has been having fun and really enjoys it. The other kids have been fussier than usual, however, Alison says that this isn't really all that unusual.

On Friday we went to a picnic at Sara's school. We are with the Plastows and had a good time.

Friday night we were invited to a barbecue at the Water's and after that, Mike and Alison went to see the Scarlet pimpernel again. It was enjoyable -we like the way they tell the story and the songs they added. We might end up seeing it again this next weekend with the kids.

On Sunday Timmy was sick. He threw up at 3am and we kept him gone from church. Here's hoping it was just him eating poorly (sometimes kids forget to eat any real food all day if you don't watch them and if they have access to junk food)

This week we also went to so many showrooms for various parts of our house to pick out specific fittings and fixtures. It is time intensive, however, hopefully, this means we will be happier with the final product.

This week we have been busily trying to get ready for christmas. We have all of the presents that we need and Alison did all of the shopping, so really we're pretty close now. On Wednesday Mike was able to use some volunteer time off to go to The cannery at welfare square and help them can applesauce. He ended up canning about 15,000 pounds of applesauce. It was good, and he appreciates that guys work pays him for it. On Wednesday we all went to the church because the activity dudes and young women (and men) were having a caroling activity. We had a fun time going around and singing and then ate cookies and drink hot taco after. Gideon and Elsa ended up going home early with Alison. Thursday after dropping the kids off at Grandma Julie's house Alison went all over the entire valley to every store that exists in order to buy things in preparation for Christmas. In which we blacken someone's name

Last Sunday after we wrote our blog post Rea received her patriarchal blessing. The patriarch was not far away from our home, and she received a nice blessing. The patriarch's wife acted as a stenographer, and they delivered a text version of it to our house a few days ago, so she now can read it when she wants to. The Dalyias came over on Monday and the kids all played. They had a lot of fun and apparently ate a lot of mints as well. Wednesday was a very busy day. In the morning Alison and the kids went to the Poulson's house and then Mike took Sara to her acting class. Next, Rea went to the temple open house, and Alison took the kids to her presidency meeting with her, and then Mike took Sara back to her activity and grabbed the kids. Here's hoping that we can avoid that busy a day for at least a few weeks. Gideon had a lot of fun at Sullivan's birthday party on Thursday. The start of morels - 2018

Another week has passed. Alison got a new bike this week. She is trying to figure out how to bike around four kids, and was hoping that having a bike with a higher seat would allow her to attach a trail-a-bike to it, which would mean that she could carry two kids along behind her on her bike. It doesn't seem like it is going to work, however, and she might end up just hauling the kids in the bike trailer like in previous years. Wednesday was Rea's date night. She chose to have a fire, read books, and have a dessert. It was fun. This week Rea and Sara went to theater camp to prepare for a play that they put on on Saturday. It was The ugly duckling. They said their lines clearly, and spoke toward the audience most of the time. They did very well. At the same time, Alison, Timmy, and Gideon waited outside for them, and got good naps. Grandpa Mike and Grandma Sheila came over to Utah this week, so we were able to spend some time with them on Friday and Saturday. We watc
