Staying afloat
3 weeks ago we went down to St George with Alison's family. We had a lot of fun. Elsa played with Victoria with the dollhouse. Chauncey brought over X-Wing ships and the boys played X-Wing regularly. We also went swimming regularly and went down to the river.
On the day that we were leaving Timmy hurt his foot, and because of that Mike kept him out of the water for the first two days. Timmy was very disappointed about this, however, his foot healed properly so that was good.
It was nice to be with the Poulson family and have a lot of fun.
Last week Rea went on trek. She made her own pioneer dress and looked very authentic. She did very well. Her cousin Logan was there with her as well. They walked 14 miles a day, and were very tired afterward.
While they were at trek, we worked very hard to finish up the house. While Mike worked on the plumbing Grandpa Mike worked on the flooring with Aunt Amy and Scott finished up the electrical with his son.
We had to push back the final inspection from Monday of last week to Tuesday because the HVAC guys were not done on time. They were still not finished on Tuesday so we moved it back again to Wednesday. When we had the final inspection we failed and he gave us a list of eight or so things that we had to finish up.
Mike worked all day on finishing the things up and then finish the last one up Thursday morning so that we could do a second final inspection in the afternoon.
We began to move into the house Thursday night, and we slept on the ground and sleeping bags and had Wendy's just like the first time we moved into the house.
Since then we have begun to move things into the house. We have the kitchen done and some people have beds, but we are still working on getting door knobs for everyone and we haven't even started on adding the molding or unpacking of everything.
