A busy week that is full of parties

The game day at Caitlin and Sal's house went well. We played a few games and talked a little bit about their investments and about how we are doing right now This past week the three oldest kids went to acting class every day. The class is going to be two weeks long. They are enjoying it a lot, and have learned a lot of things so far. They will be putting on a play next Friday and we are excited to see it! On Tuesday Grandma Julie took Alison and kids to see the Faeries at Gardner village. Most of the kids had a good time when there. On Wednesday we had a Chemistry activity dudes activity. During which we had the kids do some titrations and neutralized the substances. The kids seemed to enjoy it mostly. Thursday we celebrated Boo's birthday. She got burritos from the local 'Betos' restaurant, and we also made her a chocolate cake. Her favorite toy was a dolly she got with a swimsuit. Friday we celebrated Timmy's birthday because he didn't want it to be on Fathe

Building the Shed

This last week on Monday the grandmas took Rea and Sara out to shop for new clothes for the summer. The girls bought a lot of clothing and seem to be happy with their purchases. Monday evening we went over to grandpa Mike's house to start tearing down the shed that they are giving to us. We got the shelves all taken apart and then it was bed time. The kids helped out a lot, and we all had a fun time. On Tuesday the kids all went over to the Poulson's house for a sleepover. They had a fun time at the Poulson's house for all of Tuesday and up until dinner time on Wednesday.  They went swimming twice because grandma's pool is open and they also made fairy or wizard wands with streamers and glitter glue. Wednesday night we had our second activity dudes meeting where Mike showed the kids a Bill Nye the Science Guy video, and then we built models of hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide, and then we manually performed the chemical reaction between the two of them. The girls

A day to forget

On Memorial Day we had the traditional Memorial Day barbecue. We had 4 families over and it was super fun. I would call it an amazing success (even if Meowth would have called it a day to forget) On Tuesday we started to switch over to summer schedule. What this means is the kids can play outside as long as they want in the morning and then when they come inside they have to do a little reading or math. Next they take a siesta and do team clean, then they can have screen time to dinner, then we play outside to dark again. We haven't really gotten into it fully yet, so perhaps this week will be better. Tim has finally gotten through his level three book of his reading program, and to celebrate his hard work we got sushi and made tempura for Wednesday night dinner. A lot of the kids complained about the idea of sushi, but we got a coconut tempura shrimp roll from the local sushi place that is practically a dessert, and everyone who actually gave it a decent try liked it.
