Flooding

We Organized Simplicity'd the kitchen this week. It was really nice to move everything around to places that make more sense, now that we've been here for over a year and know better how we use the kitchen. It was a big job - it took two days. And we keep opening the wrong cupboard for certain things. But it's very nice to have it done. Next up we'll have to do the front room. Alison is excited to rearrange and is considering painting it. She would have to pick a color, though.

Mike has also been working on adding drip lines to our sprinkler system to water his berry bushes. It's getting hot, so it will be good to have it done.

Mike finally went back to the dentist, and they filed down the filling, figuring that the pain was because the filling was too tall and was putting pressure on his jaw. It is feeling somewhat better, but not all the way, so he might have to go back in again.

We watched another episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The kids whined a lot, so maybe Alison and Mike will stop waiting for good chances to watch it with the entire family and just watch it themselves.

Timmy and Boo got presents from Grandma Sheila and Papa Mike. Boo got a dress up case with shoes, skirts, necklaces, and crowns. She loves them very much. She has been wearing a crown nonstop for this entire week. Timmy got a set of Bakugan; it turned out to be the same set as one of Logan's which made it extra cool. He is very excited.

Gideon had to get his kindergarten shots this week. He was not happy, but now he's done with shots for a while. Rocket got his vaccines the next day, so Gideon had someone to sympathize with.

On Friday, Papa Mike's swimming pool exploded and flooded the basement. Mike and Amy went over and spent all day helping rip out carpet and Shopvac up water. The Plastow kids came to our house, which the kids enjoyed.

Since the pool party got canceled, the kids really wanted to do their play another time, so we invited everyone to our house today. The play was designed to be performed outside, and it was 100 degrees and super windy, but the kids did a great job anyway. They spoke very loudly so we could hear, and the play was well-written, with good parts for everyone.

After dinner, we had family night, and Timmy picked a dance off for the activity. That was fun.
