The Snakemen of Christmas

Well, we missed a week again, but here we are now, so that isn't too bad all things considered.

The biggest thing that happened this week has been Christmas. We have been preparing for and celebrating Christmas. On Christmas day the kids woke up around 7 and we opened stockings and then presents. We spent the most of the day playing with them. Elsa made some figurines out of the modelling clay that we got, which were very good. Alison tried to get pictures of everyone with their christmas gifts, but most of the kids were having too much fun to play along.

The girls are finally done acting in the Frightmare Before Christmas. They had a lot of fun, and invited their friends to see it one night with the two free tickets that they each got.

Mike and Rea have succeeded in their monthly temple baptisms goal. It was difficult at times, however, they always were able to make time to do it, so they will be having a goal day party for it soon.

One night we went over to the Brown's house for the traditional Christmas egg rolls. It was yummy and fun. We usually have to make them all ourselves, but this year we had them made by the Browns for us (which was nice, since we have all been sick so much recently.

Just yesterday Timmy finished building the Lion Knight's castle. He has been working on it periodically since he got the set in August, so it took a while to build. It looks super cool, however. He added a green dragon that he got for his birthday and some snakemen that he got for christmas, and it is pretty impressive.

We also went to crystal hot springs with the extended Brown family, and had a good relaxing time. The younger kids ran out of fun after a few hours, so we didn't stay for too long, but we did stay for a while, and it was very rejuvenating.

On this Monday Rea went ice skating with the Waters (it was their twin's 16th birthday). They went up to accord ice center and used their free passes to go ice skating for free. She says that her legs were sore afterward, but that she had a lot of fun. She went shopping for gifts after.

Last Saturday was the Solstice, and Alison planned a special meal for it. It was Squash stuffed with quinoa and nuts and dried fruits. The kids mostly didn't like the meal, but it was pretty good to those who have cultured palates. After we roasted smores and had a fire (not in that order).

Everyone has been sick a lot - No-one has completely avoided it, so we are not going to chronicle all of the instances. Let's just say that everyone was sick a lot.

We went to the giving machine at the mall, and even though it was closed we were able to make it in to give a tree to someone.

On Saturday Rea and Sara went to Ellie's house to do crafts. The crafts were part of Ellie's Christmas presents. They did water colors, pottery, magic water elves (squishy things), and little water fuse pearler beads. It was fun.

Chauncy also invited Mike to play a Pokemon Nuzlocke with him. So far they have beaten the first boss, and Chauncy won the first rival match by a landslide.
