Super good!

On Monday Sara taught a family night lesson. We don't really know what it was about, but she did teach it herself.

Tuesday I had a triple daddy daughter son date. We got ice-cream and went to the store. The kids liked it.

Wednesday Timmy got one shot and had no side effects this time (except for a little bit of sleepiness.) We are really happy about this because last one was a beast. Alison tried every natural remedy she could find for helping him adjust, so maybe some of the worked. She's not going to do a proper study, because that would risk it not working, and there's no way we're going through that again. (Three solid months of him screaming every time Alison wasn't holding him, and yes, the doctor said it was probably due to the shots. Yikes.)

Thursday Alison went to a meeting at the library, which turned out to be a fascist rally. She had me call her so that she could exit the meeting discreetly. We don't think that any fascists spies trailed her home, so we are probably safe. (After I read this to Alison, she started taking bets on how many people would ask her if I was serious.)

Friday my new office building had an open house. The girls (and Timmy) all had a fun time (although Rea wanted more treats.)

Friday the missionaries stopped over and delayed our date night so long asking for referrals that we had to move our date to Saturday.

On Saturday we made a Brie, and by we, I mean Alison and myself. It turned out really well, so I have to enlist Alison's help more often. It was perfectly moist. I have to make sure to turn it every day, since last time, I forgot, and the Brie went to the chickens.

Saturday morning we also rented a roto-tiller and dug up our front yard in preparation for landscaping it fancily. We're going to have a wagon wheel of paths (an outer and inner circle connected by spokes), with grow beds in between the paths. We tilled up the ground for the paths and threw the extra dirt onto the beds to start them decomposing lasagna garden style. As soon as we finished tilling, the kids started racing around the paths, so that much of the plan worked. We'll get a load of sand this week to cover the paths and fill the sandbox (one of the growbeds will be a sandbox), and then pick up some pavers that our neighbors pulled out of their yard and are throwing away. Then we'll put goat shed compost on all the beds and let them decompose until next spring, when we'll plant.

We set up a hammock for Timmy Saturday afternoon. He loves his hammock, and sits in it and reads a lot. Now the kids have three hammocks in one room, all hanging from the monkey bars (Rea is now up higher than the other two). We are going to have to come up with another hammock hanging solution.

On Saturday night we had a date night game night and we let the kids watch a veggie tales movie. We played Polynesia (and tested some new cards.) They seemed a little too powerful. We will have to re-balance everything, but that is not really new.

Sunday was fast Sunday, which meant that I was home from church two hours later than usual. By the time that we had dinner I was super hungry! We had baked pasta and free yellow squash. It ended up tasting very good.
