Broken Bike, Working Car.

Ever since Mike got the printer fixed the kids have been demanding more and more 3d printed toys. He got all of his parts for his games printed, and is now printing pokemon, pachyderms and princesses.

Both Mike's and Alison's teaching has remained quite busy. Alison even has one of her students trying to get all of the classes that they will miss while we are in Italy scheduled during the upcoming week. We will see how well that works.

Alison and the kids went to Thanksgiving Point. We heard that there are no field trips to Thanksgiving Point on Monday mornings, so it's the least crowded time of the week. We usually meet some homeschool friends there. This week we played in the water erosion exhibit (a sand and water table) and then rode ponies at the farm.

This week our homeschool schedule stopped working. This happens about every 6-8 weeks, and Alison usually enjoys coming up with a new one. But this time she was really hoping it would last one more week until we left on our trip. She is thinking about just doing math and audiobooks this week for the kids and doing an Organized Simplicity clean of the house before we leave.

On Wednesday Mike got a flat tire on his bike (he made it to work, and by the time that he was going home it was flat.) That meant that Mike had to walk home because the car keys finally quit working completely.

On Thursday the locksmith came over and fixed our car ignition. It was super cheap, and is working well, so it was probably worth the hassle of getting it set up.

On Saturday at 12:30 we did a dry run of packing for the Italy trip. We got all our stuff in the carry-ons, so we are going to be going on a 3 week trip with one carry on each, and no checked baggage.

At about 2 we went over to Sheila and Scott's yard sale to see what they were selling. Sheila said that we could take anything we wanted for free, and she also gave us more things in boxes for us to look through at our house and give to the DI if we didn't want them. We got lots of craft supplies and canning jars, and the kids got toys. They are very happy.

The entire week we have been getting ready for the trip to Italy. It has been busy, but fun.
