Not such a lame post

On Monday we went to Winco to get a bulk order of food. We now have a huge supply of raisins, popcorn, and peanuts. Mike forgot his debit card, so the trip took a long time since we had to go all the way back home.

On Tuesday the kids did not go to nature group because Alison is still having some morning sickness despite the medicine the midwife prescribed. When they don't get out the kids go a bit stir crazy.

Wednesday night was Timmy's date night. He wanted ice cream and a movie, so we had those things. Why he wanted ice cream instead of hot coca is a bit of a mystery.

The temperate has remained low enough that the snow on the ground has lasted all week. The kids have been enjoying it quite a bit.

On Thursday during the day, Alison's minivan was having trouble starting up. fortunately we have the car jumping device, so we could get it going. We planned on bringing the car to the shop at the latest on the weekend.

On Thursday Mike went to the BGDG, and Alison took the kids to be baby sat and then went to a Relief society activity. Everyone had a pretty good time.

On Friday, the kids went to oak connect, and found some fox prints. Sara fell through the ice into the stream, and had to come home early.

After Oak Connect was over, Marissa Dalyia came over for a while, and played with the kids.

Alison and Mike went to the Draper Historic Theater to see a Christmas carol. The actor that played Scrooge was very good, and it was funny to see the interaction between him and Cratchit. We enjoyed it quite a bit, and the kids enjoyed being baby sat again by Megan Limb.

On Saturday morning we went to get the car fixed at the Sandy Tunex, and the repair guy (Ryan) listened to the symptoms and fixed it on the spot without charging us for it. Apparently it is a common problem with the batteries from pep boys. We really like that Tunex - it is the one that Ed Jimmit used to own, and it is by far our favorite place to get work done on a car.

Later in the day Rea and Mike helped Scott and Sheila move out of their storage unit. It is sad that they are moving, but it seems to be necessary.

Saturday afternoon Mike drove to the Samoan market to buy Samoan cocoa. He also bought a can of mackerel (because it is a cheap fish that is high in omega 3). You can get it for $1 a lb, and that is pretty cheap.

Saturday night we went to the ward Christmas party. It was fun. The kids loved dessert, and Mike and Alison loved talking to each other while the kids mostly just had fun.

On Sunday we ate rice, stir-fry, and mackerel curry, which Alison said was at least as good as a tuna melt. Alison hates fish, but will eat them for the omega 3.

Mike only has one more week of tithing settlement left. After that is Christmas, which we are really looking forward to.

Finally, on Sunday Mike and Timmy made a new rules light board game. It was a game about a building a zoo.
