Busy week
This last week on Monday we went to Oliver, and because we liked it so much, We decided to change enchanted's name to Oliver (well, Mike and Alison did, anyway). We have also been singing the music all week. They did a good job, even if they played Fagan as if he were a nice guy.
On Tuesday Alison and the Kids went to the splash pad with Ellie. They love having more cousins in Utah. Feel free to move back to Utah, guys - we will like you even if you moved away for a while.
On Tuesday night, Mike got his current game played at the BGDG meeting, and made the decision
that it needs more cards to be good. He has added more cards to it, but hasn't yet tested it out.
On Thursday we went over to Amy's house and got some family history stuff and school stuff. The family history stuff is memoirs by grandpa Frank. We are going to read the stories to the kids, which should be fun.
On Friday we went to Sister Act as a whole family. It was fun, and the kids enjoyed it, though there were a few intense parts. Alison liked Mother Superior the best, but Mike liked the three minions - who were pretty dopey.
Saturday we went hiking to silver lake with the Rogers and Poulsons. We had a fun time. The kids enjoyed climbing rocks and playing in the woods, and listening to Mike identify plants for them. We discovered red elderberries along with baneberries and many other interesting things. Timmy even found a single shaggy mane mushroom on the side of the path.
After the lake, we all went and got thai food. It was good, and the kids ate very well.
On Sunday we went to the Rogers church for baby Victoria's blessing. It was fun, and afterward we went to their house to eat lunch. Our game day was cancelled due to sickness, so we had a quiet evening at home.
We were given a few cans of TVP from a family moving out, so Mike tried adding it into pasta sauce along with some ground beef to see if he could fool everyone into not noticing it. It was a success.
So far this Monday we have gone to a lake near the rogers house, and then had lunch. We are now gearing up to have a barbecue this evening. It should be fun to get together as a family again.
