Three weeks in December
Well, the holidays are over. We didn't make time to write a blog post for a few Sundays in a row now, but this time we are going to do it no matter what.
The week before Christmas:
On the 17th the kids built a duplo tower that spanned all the way to the ceiling. It was pretty impressive
On the 18th we made and decorated some Christmas cookies
Week of Christmas:
On the 21st we went swimming with the family in the Murray pool. Mike stayed home with the baby and reinstalled the blinds (since we had to take them out to get the new windows in)
We also hung out with the browns more after that and talked while the cousins played.
Mike kept going to work until Christmas day, but he took the Monday after Christmas off.
The kids had a fun sleep over the week of Christmas where they played with their cousins and watched movies.
In terms of Christmas gifts, we got a reasonable number this year. Mike got a bluetooth headset that he has been using whenever he cleans up the kitchen, and Alison got materials to make wire wrap jewelery. Timmy got Pokemon let's go eevee, Gideon got a cool sword that makes noises. Rea got seeds for planting an herb garden, she Sara got a doll, baby got a doll that she loves as well, but she also loves everyone elses's gifts as well.
On Christmas day we went over to the Brown's house and made the traditional Christmas Asian food.
The day after Christmas we also made some fudge, and delivered it to our neighbors (who were really welcoming during the time that we were moving into the house.
This leads us to the week after Christmas
During that week Dan worked from our home and Sheila and Scott arrived in town as well
Alison and the aunts went to the "clever octopus" which is like a di for just craft supplies. Rea cleaned out the stromberg's car and was also able to go.
We made more egg rolls because Dan missed them, and in the process of that we showed the family the axe-chopperizer.
The kids slept over at the grandparents house two nights in a row and got super happy but also super cranky (they seemed cranky to the parents, but they felt that they were happy if you ask them.)
New years
All of the relatives left new years Eve or day, and we had our usual lego party and tried to watch the ball drop. We went to bed at 10 because it had dropped in new York already.
The ball drop is so boring that we are trying to come up with an alternative countdown to the new year for future years. Feel free to tell us if you have a better one.
Timmy wants me to add that he got a Krabby in Pokemon let's go eevee, which is his favorite pokemon so far.
