Posted late because we forgot to hit post

On Monday we went and made a fire in Crestwood Park and we had hot dogs and cooked s'mores. We usually do this activity on Thursday in memory of Jesus in The garden of gethsemane, however this time we did it on Monday because it was the only day of the week that we had enough time for the activity. The fire went well enough apart from some local busy-bodies telling us that open fires were not permitted in the park (which, our fire wasn't open because it was inside of one of the fire boxes that are provided by the park).

Tuesday we had our last supper, which is usually on Wednesday. Since this year we learned that it is not appropriate to make a meal similar to a Passover if you're not Jewish we instead made unleavened pizzas and drink grape juice and had haroseth.

On Wednesday we watch Prince of Egypt and talked about the Passover.

Thursday we played clean up your own backyard in memory of how Jesus cleansed the temples. And we sent our oldest two daughters off to their temple trip to see the manti Temple.

Friday the kids and Alison went to park day as usual, however on the way home the tire exploded so Mike had to bike out and change the tire and teach Allison how to change a flat tire. The car repair shop was able to get us in immediately so Mike then spent the rest of the day waiting for the tire to get replaced.

On Saturday we died Easter eggs.

On Rea and Sara's trip to manti they had to wait in line to get into the open house for 2 hours, but the temple was really pretty and colorful and ornate.

They also had to sleep in seven dwarfs beds because the place that they were sleeping had a bunch of beds lined up in a row up against a sloped ceiling which remind them of the seven dwarfs in the Disney movie.

Rea also wants to add that we now have a bunch of daffodils growing in our yard, which we got by digging up bulbs that we found in the wild somewhere a few years ago. They have never grown flowers before, however this year they put out daffodils so apparently they are now healthy.
